About the man giving everything away
Steve Pipe FCA - Accountant - Strategist - Husband - Father
Officially the world’s most highly-rated Accountant and advisor to Accountants, Steve is a best-selling author, dynamic speaker and founder of Accountants Changing the World and the AVN association of proactive UK Accountants.
He is also a former UK Entrepreneur of The Year (as you can see in the photo, it was a long time ago!)
Outside of work he has been married (to an Accountant) for over 35 years, has three adult children and lives in Yorkshire.
His hobbies include playing tennis badly, and playing blues guitar terribly.
His business books include “101 Ways to Make More Profits”, “Stress Proof Your Business and Your Life”, “How to Build a Better Business and Make More Money”, and the “Better Business, Better life, Better World” trilogy.
While his books for Accountants include “Your Blueprint For A Better Accountancy Practice”, “Your Blueprint For A Better Tax Practice”, and “The UK’s Best Accountancy Practices”, which ICAEW President Mark Spofforth describes as “brilliant”.
He also lead the team that researched and wrote “The World’s Most Inspiring Accountants”, which has been described by practice development gurus a “masterpiece”, “ground-breaking” and “desperately needed”.
In 2012 he was named “The world’s most highly rated accountant and advisor to Accountants” in recognition of the fact that he has more recommendations (now over 500) on LinkedIn than any other accountant adviser.
And in In 2015 he was shortlisted alongside Paul Dunn, David Maister and Mark Wickersham for Accountingweb’s first ever “Outstanding Contribution to Accounting” award
In 2017 he launched the free “Get and Give A Million” initiative to help Accountants across the world enjoy more success and have more impact by becoming Businesses for Good and tackling the UN Global Goals.
And in 2018 he announced that he would be giving everything away to help business leaders build better businesses, better lives and a better world.
So over 3,000 businesses have benefited, and together they have provided more than 15 million days of access to food, water, education, sanitation or other help to people in need around the world.
Which is perhaps why...
... in 2017 he was named as the most inspirational person in the accountancy profession.
Just beating Paul Dunn and Ron Baker to the top of a global list compiled by practice guru Mark Wickersham.
